Youkai-Animals is a group dedicated to artwork depicting supernatural animals from Japanese folklore, along with other select monsters. :: What We Accept - Submitted work must pertain to Japanese youkai and have a Japanese theme of some sort, whether it is style, scenery, or clothing. - Human, feral, anthropomorphic, kemonomimi, etc. - Original characters (as long as they follow the guidelines.) - Fan art is accepted. All fan art must be submitted to the "Fan Art" folder. - All traditional, digital, and 3-D work. :: What We Will Decline - Overt sexual themes. - Poorly photographed / scanned, un-cropped or unrefined artwork, including rough sketches and doodles. - Stolen work. - Adoptables, character auctions and reference sheets. - Artwork made with pre-made line art and bases. - Original characters based on youkai, but have no Japanese theme present. - Cosplay. :: Submitting - You may currently submit 3 deviations per day. - Each folder is titled after a youkai. If you are unfamiliar with the name, please check the folder description. - Work will be selectively placed in the "Featured" folder by the admin. - Only submit to the "Other" folder if your submission depicts a youkai that is not represented in our current folders. - Please submit your best work.
